Matthew’s insurance coverage practice focuses on commercial property, homeowner’s, inland marine, and crime insurance claims. He has experience drafting opinion and position letters that offer legal counsel to insurers, aiding them in navigating complex coverage issues, and resolving claims effectively. His litigation experience encompasses drafting complaints, motions to dismiss, written discovery, and settlement agreements. 
Before joining Nicolaides, Matthew was an associate in the insurance coverage practice at a Midwest law firm and clerked at several Chicago firms. While in law school, Matthew served as the Candidacy Editor for UIC Law Review, was a member of the Moot Court Executive Board, and competed in a national trial competition.
 
Matthew served as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana and the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
